This mala necklace has been re-created from a vintage Tibetan red coral necklace. All original genuine red coral beads remain in excellent condition, carrying the quiet beauty of time. By incorporating select beads and charms from our collection of antique Tibetan treasures, this piece has been transformed into a museum-quality mala—suitable for both everyday wear and spiritual practice.
The round-shaped red coral beads are untreated, displaying a rich and natural red hue. The sizes of these beads are slightly varied, measures from 4.7mm to 5.6mm approximately. Remarkably well preserved, these vintage beads seem to have been gently protected through the years—perhaps by the enduring spirit of Buddhism itself.
Historically, Tibetan red coral was imported from the Mediterranean, treasured for centuries as one of the most precious materials in Tibetan culture. It is not only valued for its beauty, but also for its durability, making it ideal for prayer beads intended to last generations.
This mala brings together a rich array of antique Tibetan elements. The marker beads are three beautiful vintage Tibetan turquoise beads (approximately 11 mm). Additional decorative elements include turquoise, coral, and finely crafted silver beads and charms.
The pendant is an antique Tibetan charm dating back approximately 100–150 years. It features a beautifully carved bat motif on the front—traditionally associated with blessings and good fortune—and a sacred mantra symbol engraved on the back. The pendant measures approximately 26 × 25 × 6.7 mm.
All decorative beads and charms are crafted from solid 925 or 999 silver, adding both substance and authenticity to the piece.
