For years, we make customized Tibetan and Himalayan malas for our clients using rare natural materials and ancient, antique Tibetan beads . To serve the spiritual purposes, only the best quality natural beads can we use to make malas. We turned those precious beads to wearable arts. We sincerely believe the Buddhism spirit attached to those ancient precious will help each one-of-a-kind piece to find its destined master.
This piece is re-made from one antique traditional Tibetan coral mala necklace. All original 108 genuine salmon red coral beads are still in amazing fine condition. You can see it from the zoom in pictures.
Genuine antique Tibetan red coral is so rare and precious. It is one of most magnificent natural material for making prayer beads. Those coral beads are untreated, undyed, in beautiful salmon red color. The dimension of the beads is approximately 5mm.
This mala is a rich collection of many precious antique Tibetan beads. The chest marker beads are two vintage Dzi beads with beautiful Tiger-teeth patterns, measured 15mm x 10mm.
The back mater bead is genuine vintage Tibet turquoise bead that measured 19mm x 13mm.
The pendant / guru bead is one very old round Tibetan Dzi agate bead that was made around pre-1400, this ancient bead has beautiful tiger back pattern. The dimension of the bead is 20mm.
The 108 coral beads are from the original mala. Most beads to form the pendant and the tussle are from our antique Tibetan beads collection. Most metal spacers were rusted or broken, so we replaced them with the similar copper. Those old beads are surprising well maintained, or protected by the spirit of Buddhist through the hundreds of years.
The mala necklace is 93cm long without pendant.
One 925 silver fortune wheel counter is attached to the mala as well.
